She danced and sang.

Many ages ago.

Is she lost?

What happened?

Did she disappear into the red flowers and green leaves?

In the white raft of the blue sky.

She became a flower and blossomed in the tree.

Did she disappear into the waves of the river?

Did she get lost in the south wind?

Did she get lost in the night stars?

Does she still smile as a full moon?

I die thinking.

I find

It floats in the mind only as a picture.

She promised to come but did not come.

She said she would appear, but she did not.

I look back at everyone's face.

Look for her

I did not meet her

I sit all alone with a broken heart.

She disappeared to where I don't know.

I sit in the dark.

I sleep in the dark.
